“If you can’t tango walk, you can’t tango”. Walking is the foundation, the basic of tango. It’s not the well-know 8 count basic that is taught in Beginner class. That is just a convenient sequence that puts together some of the basic tango movements.This workshop will consist on a comprehensive exploration of walk and turns, transfer of weight, posture, axis and core work.

Laure Lion is bringing back her popular Women’s Technique class as a monthly workshop. 
This 90 minute workshop is offered every 3rd Sunday of the month! Behind each well-executed step is strong technique. In tango this is important for both your walk and your turn. This workshop is designed to help follower get results by using the proper technique, and give them a deeper understanding of their role.
Through exercises, and the use of props, you will explore the technique behind:
  • Posture
  • Walking
  • Pausing
  • Turns
  • Pivots
  • Changes and interrupts of direction
  • Embellishments
